CABINET OF THE CAYMAN ISLANDS – POST MEETING SUMMARY
A meeting of the Cabinet was convened on Tuesday, 21st January 2025 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.
All Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.
At this meeting Cabinet:
a) Approved for the Theoline McCoy Primary School Hall to be named the Francine Gardner Hall;
b) Approved pursuant to sections 11(5) and 11(6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2020
Revision) to increase CCO 1 – Teaching of Tertiary Level, Professional and Vocational
Programmes by CI$366,598.00;
c) Approved the Female National Heroes commemorative stamp issue as part of the 2025 stamp
programme;
d) Approved the publication of the following revised laws;

f) Reviewed and noted the Cayman Airways Limited Annual Report and Audited Financial
Statements for the year ended 31st December 2023 and authorised for it to be presented to
Parliament;
g) Reviewed and noted the Cayman Turtle Conservation and Education Centre Ltd Annual Report and
Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2022 and authorised for it to be
presented to Parliament;
h) Approved the Consultation Paper and Government Motion for a national dialogue on proposed
amendments to the Immigration (Transition) Act (2022 Revision);
i) j) Approved that National Heroes Day Nominations 2025;
Approved a grant to Triple C School in the amount of CI$400,000 and approved pursuant to
sections 11(5) and 11(6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2020 Revision) to increase
NGS 34 – Primary and Secondary Education by CI$400,000;
k) Approved a grant to Wesleyan Christian Academy in the amount of CI$500,000 and approved
pursuant to sections 11(5) and 11(6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2020 Revision) to
increase NGS 34 – Primary and Secondary Education by CI$500,000 and decrease EI 12 –
Ministry of Education by CI$500,000;
l) Noted the Tax Exemption Statistics for September, October and November 2024; and
m) Noted the 2021 and 2022 Human Resources Annual Report.
