Cabinet Post Meeting Summary

Her Excellency the Governor Mrs. Jane Owen, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.

Mrs Gloria McField-Nixon acted as Deputy Governor. All other Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

• Approved the appointment of Ashlyn Goubault-Ebanks as Secretary of the Adoption Board;
• Reviewed and Noted the Children and Youth Services 2022 Annual Report and authorised the Hon Minister for Investment, Innovation and Social Development to present the Annual Report to Parliament;
• Approved the appointment of the following persons to the Nursing and Midwifery Council: Rosanna Humphreys, Chair; Annie K Price, Deputy Chair; Jessica Vanessa Ebanks, Member; and Maria Barnes-Campbell, Member;
• Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the Financial Regulations (2022 Revision);
• Approved in accordance with sections 11(5) and 11 (6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2021 Revision) the increase of NGS 55 – Tertiary Care at Various Local and Overseas Institutions by CI$9 million; and
• Approved in accordance with sections 11(5) and 11 (6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2021 Revision) the increase of HEA 2 – Medical Care for Indigents by CI$4.4 million.
