Her Excellency the Governor Mrs. Jane Owen, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet held on Tuesday, 6th February 2024 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.Mrs. Heather Bodden, Parliamentary Secretary acted for the Hon Minister for Tourism and Ports, all otherMinisters and Members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

• Approved lease of a boardroom for Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman;

• Approved the lease of temporary office space for Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman;

• Approved lease of office space for the Department of International Tax Cooperation;

• Noted the National Drug Council’s Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the period ended 31st December 2022 and authorised for the Report to be tabled in Parliament;

• Noted the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority’s Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the period ended 31st December 2022 and authorised for the Report to be tabled inParliament;

• Approved for a prohibited immigrant to temporarily re-enter the Cayman Islands;

• Approved the exemption of 2 persons under section 53(1)(b) of the Immigration (Transition) Act(2022 Revision);

• Approved the recommendations from the National Dress, Dish and Dance Task Force for theCayman Islands National Dress, Cayman Islands National Dance, Cayman Islands National Drink, Cayman Islands National Dish, and Cayman Islands National Dessert;

• Approved in part the proposals in the National Conservation Council’s Seabird Conservation Plan for Colonial Nesting Seabirds under section 17 of the National Conservation Act, 2013; and

• Noted update regarding the commissioning and naming of Cayman Islands Sea Cadets maritime vessel.
