Cayman: CIREBA Announces New Board of Directors

The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) is pleased to announce the election of its Board of Directors for 2024/2025, following the Annual General Meeting held on November 15, 2024. The newly elected board is committed to upholding CIREBA’s core values of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to uniform practices, as outlined in the association’s Code of Ethics. The incoming CIREBA Board of Directors comprises:

• Brian Wight – Director/President

• Jim Fraser – Director/Vice President

• Howard McLaughlin – Director/Secretary

• Quatro Hatch – Director/Treasurer

• Alex Wood – Director

• Bettina Baldwin – Director

• Carolyn Ritch – Director

• Phillip Wood – Director

• Steve Parsons – Director

Reflecting on the association’s achievements, President Brian Wight stated, “CIREBA’s commitment to fostering a transparent, innovative, and professional real estate industry has never been stronger. This year’s progress and achievements reflect the dedication of our members and board to delivering on these core values. A new CIREBA app to be publicly launched in the new year

CIREBA is also thrilled to announce that a brand-new public app for real estate listings has been developed and set to publicly launch in early 2025. This cutting-edge tool is designed to provide an enhanced and seamless experience for buyers, sellers, and agents alike. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to unveil this exciting new resource, which will further establish CIREBA as a leader in Cayman’s real estate industry.

During the AGM, the association celebrated several milestones, including the development of the CIREBA public and agent apps, the redesign of the website and Multiple Listing System (MLS), and the introduction of enhanced data security measures. These initiatives underscore CIREBA’s dedication to innovation and the use of technology to provide value and convenience to members and clients alike.

President Wight also extended gratitude to previous Board members Mike Day and Jeanette Totten, and paid tribute to the late JC Calhoun and Kent Eldemire, founders of CIREBA whose invaluable contributions helped shape Cayman’s thriving real estate industry.
