Cayman Court news in brief
Andrew Jason Ebanks (32) from West Bay was given a two year suspended sentence for having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl on Fri (22).
Ebanks was ordered by the court to attend rehab and psychiatric counselling after he admitted to having sex with a minor.
The 13-year-old girl claimed Ebanks forced her into having intercourse with her at a house in West Bay in 2010. Ebanks denied this.
Although pleading guilty to the offence, Ebanks said he was drunk and didn’t remember committing the act.
The additional charge of rape made against Ebanks was left on file.
CNB robbery suspect appeared in court via Skpe
Marlon Dillon (28) appeared in Court on Friday (22) charged with robbing the Cayman National Bank (CNB) Buckingham Square branch in West Bay Road in June last year.
His appearance was executed using the Internet-based technology called Skype, a videophone call, and the Court watched and interviewed him on a flat screen TV monitor. The reason given for using this technology was because the defendant is in protective custody.
Dillon faces charges of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit the robbery with two other men of $500,000 (in KYD and USD notes) from CNB.
