Cayman: COVID-19 Update 1 April 2021, ONE NEW Positive, 50,763 vaccines administered
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 288 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Wednesday, 31 March 2021. One was positive.
The individual is a traveller who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes, as required by the Medical Officer of Health, will be provided when available.
The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 50,763.
So far, 30,607 (47% of the estimated population) have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, with 31% having completed the two-dose course.
