Cayman: COVID-19 Update 11 October 2021, 23 NEW Positives, 108,965 vaccinations given
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that as of 8a.m. Monday, 11 October, there have been 1,474 PCR tests since the last report on Friday, 8 October.
Of these, there are a total of 23 positive tests comprising nine travellers and 14 positive tests from the community, which include 10 children.
Both infants who were previously admitted to hospital are well and have been discharged home.
To date, there have been 108,965 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 55,592 (78% of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (representing 90% of those over 12 years of age) and 53,107 (75%) have completed the two–dose course. Additionally, 356 (1%) have had a third or booster dose.
