The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that as of 8am Tuesday, 19 October, there had been 997 PCR tests since the last report on Monday, 18 October. 

From these, there were 17 positive test results, comprising three positive tests in travellers and 14 positive tests from the community.  

The two patients admitted to hospital are stable (one having been there since early September).

To date, there have been 110,629 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 55,905 (79 percent of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 53,572 (75 percent) have completed the two-dose course.  Additionally, 1,152 (representing six percent of those over the age of 50) have had a third, or booster, dose.
