Cayman: COVID-19 Update Thursday, 13 January 2022, 380 NEW Positives [11 in Sister Islands], Probable Omicron cases at 2,058

Grand Cayman – Chief Medical Officer (Interim) Dr. Autilia Newton today reported 380 new positive PCR tests for COVID-19. 

While the number of confirmed cases of the Omicron variant in the Cayman Islands remains at 132, the number of probable Omicron cases reached 2,058 during the reporting period. 

Ten COVID-19 patients were hospitalised in the Cayman Islands as at midnight on Thursday, 13 January. Three new inpatients were included in this number.

Meanwhile 11 new cases of COVID were reported in the Sister Islands.
