Cayman: DCI no longer accepting incomplete applications

From The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI).

Grand Cayman, 29 March 2022 – The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) wishes to advise the public that, effective immediately, incomplete applications will no longer be accepted.

They would like to remind their customers that it is the applicant’s responsibility to provide the required information in order for the application to be processed in a timely manner.

An application is considered incomplete if:

·      Sections of the form are not completed;

·      Personal details such as name, address, telephone number, email address, etc. are missing;

·      Signatures are not affixed;

·      Company documents are not included;

·      Relevant approvals based on the business type are missing.

This decision is being taken in alignment with the “DCI Promise” to always provide clients with excellent customer service. By reducing the amount of time spent on incomplete applications, the DCI team will be able to process applications faster and increase the turnaround time for customers who submit complete applications. DCI is also encouraging members of the public to visit their website at www.dci.gov.ky to review application checklists before submitting applications at the Business Licensing Counter and via their online portal.
