The Department of Education Services (DES) has expressed its concern regarding the contents of a video shared on social media earlier this week that depicts a physical altercation between a group of John Gray High School (JGHS) students.

“We are committed to maintaining a safe and harmonious school environment for all our students and will not tolerate negative behaviours such as fighting and bullying in our schools,” stated DES Director Mr. Mark Ray.

The JGHS has since launched an internal investigation into the incident and will implement the prescribed protocols for addressing the identified issues.

Mr. Ray continued, “The school will also provide the students involved with the requisite guidance and support that they may need at this time to prevent a reoccurrence of any similar situation.”
