Cayman Drama Society: Virtual Happy Hour with us!
Curtain Call Bar Happy Hour – quarantine viewing!
We are aware that part of the fun of our theatre is chatting in the foyer and the bar after the show, and that some of you may be missing that type of engagement.
SOOOOO this Friday, for the first time, we will be hosting an online happy hour where you can come and chat about what you have been watching. Whether this is a Netflix binge, one of our online offerings, you working your way through the greatest movies of all time, or the online theatre offerings that have become available in this time – we will talk with you about it!
So pop in and tell us what you have been watching, and maybe even get some recommendations yourself.
The catch – you have to bring your own drinks this time (sorry!)
If you want to join us email [email protected] and we will send you the meeting link.
Friday 15th May 5.30-6.30pm
THE SHOW MUST GO OPPOSITE – online fundraiser still available
This was an online concert to fundraise for CDS while our shows are unable to be live, premiered last Saturday.
We asked performers to film a song from a musical theatre show that they would not get cast in usually, and the results are fabulous!
There are some familiar faces, some new faces, and even some guest appearances from afar! Thank you to all the performers who responded to our appeals and donated their time to help others (and to those kind people who have already donated to the fund!). Our Covid Relief Fund helps cover partial or full fees for some of our performing students whose circumstances have changed as a result of the current circumstances. Arts offer an escapism that is vital for some at a time like this, and we want to ensure all our students who wish to continue attending can! If you have enjoyed any of our free offerings of quizzes, theatre screenings, or are looking forward to our online concert, then please consider donating. Every little helps! If you are in a position to do so, you can click here and donate today. Thanks in advance for you support!
You can watch the concert from Saturday at 7.30pm either onYoutube by clicking here or here for Facebook
