Cayman Enterprise City Urban Planning and Development Internship
Background
Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) is an award-winning development project which consists of three special economic zones focused on attracting knowledge-based and specialised-services businesses to set up a physical presence in the Cayman Islands. The zones included within CEC are Cayman Tech City, Cayman Commodities & Derivatives City and Cayman Maritime & Aviation City.
The candidate must have a passion for design to join CEC as the 2019 Urban Planning and Development Intern. The internship lasts from 4-8 weeks during the summer months and is part of the Enterprise Cayman “Summer in the City” internship programme. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with Cindy O’Hara CEC’s Chief Development Officer and Managing Director of Design (Cayman) Limited, the leading sustainable architectural practice in the Cayman Islands.
The 2019 CEC Urban Planning and Development Intern will assist CEC’s Design & Development Department with:
- Development projects small and large
- Gaining an understanding of client interface, facilities management, interior design, furniture procurement and inventory
The Candidate
We’re looking for an out of the box innovative student or post graduate. Open to Caymanians and residents of the Cayman Islands between the ages of 18-25. The candidate does not need to have prior design or architectural experience but must either be studying a related degree at college or have a passion for design and sustainability. The successful candidate will receive a reimbursement of expenses to the value of CI$400 per week and your working hours will be from 9am to 4pm Monday through Fridays.
