Grand Cayman, 31 January 2023  

The Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) responded at 1:17 p.m. today to a 911 report of thick black smoke in the vicinity of Cayman Auto Diagnostic Clinic in George Town.
 
On arrival, CIFS conducted a Dynamic Risk Assessment and confirmed three trailers were on fire on the open lot. CIFS crews responded swiftly and were able to extinguish the fire and prevent damage to adjoining properties. No injuries were reported.
 
The public is reminded that in the event of discovering a fire take all necessary precautions to stay safe, vacate, stay out of the area and immediately call 911 for the Fire Department.
