Cayman: Foster’s | Statement on Electrical Fire
December 10, 2024. In response to smoke being discharged from a small electrical fire within Foster’s Airport Center this afternoon, we’re taking extensive measures to adhere to public safety and uphold our products’ high standards of freshness.
Out of an abundance of caution, we’re removing all fresh bakery, deli, meat, seafood, produce items, and any exposed plates or cutlery. Shelves are being cleared, and a dedicated team of Foster’s and Reliable Industries staff will operate throughout the night to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock each affected area.
Our team will be recutting meat, seafood, and produce to ensure the products are freshly prepared, sorted, and properly wrapped for our customers. Our commitment to this process reflects our promise to provide the highest standards of safety and quality, and these efforts underscore our dedication to delivering nothing less for our customers.
We thank the Department of Environmental Health, the RCIPS, The Cayman Islands Fire Service, BrittHay Electric, Interior Solutions, and Cayman Climate Control for their support and guidance as we restore our store operations.
Though a relatively minor fire, addressing the disruption it caused is a significant undertaking. To that end, we appreciate the patience and support of our community as we prioritize your well-being and ensure our store is ready to welcome you back better than ever.
Customers with questions regarding the impact of the electrical fire on operations may speak with team members in-store, email , or contact us on Foster’s’ social media channels (@fosterscayman).
