Grand Cayman, March 28, 2023 – The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is inviting interested residents to collect “free mulch” at the George Town Cricket Field from 8:00 am on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Residents are invited to come out early and to bring their shovels and bags for the removal of the mulch. Once again, the material will be supplied on a first come, first served basis. 

The mulch is derived from the Christmas trees that were deposited at collection sites throughout the island earlier this year. Trees were subsequently removed by the DEH and shredded.
