Cayman Golf Club Founders membership sells out

AP Founding Members DinnerThe Cayman Golf Club, an integral part of the forthcoming Ironwood Development and designed by the Arnold Palmer Group, opened their “Ironwood Founders” golf membership program and sold out within a week.

The founding memberships, across individual, corporate and non-resident categories were launched earlier this month, coinciding with Arnold Palmer and his team’s visit to Grand Cayman. The number of the invitation-only memberships was capped in order to maintain their exclusivity.

All the Founding Members were invited to celebrate at an exclusive dinner held at The Grand Old House, South Sound, where they were congratulated personally by Arnold Palmer.   During the dinner the guests learned more about the plans for Ironwood and the Cayman Golf Club from David Moffitt, Ironwood Developer, Thad Layton Senior Golf Course Architect and Vice President at the Arnold Palmer Design Company, and they were treated to a warm welcome from Mr. Palmer. The Cayman Golf Club at Ironwood will be operated and managed by Palmer on a long term basis, as is his home Signature course Bay Hill,

“The success of this release and the speed with which the memberships sold out not only bears testament to the regard in which Arnold Palmer and the courses built by his globally renowned Arnold Palmer Design Team are held, but also to the growing confidence in the Ironwood Development as a whole” said Denise Gower, Spokesperson for Ironwood. “We are delighted that Mr. Palmer is giving his personal support to Ironwood and is intending to continue to visit Cayman, not only throughout the construction period, but through to completion and beyond” she added.

In addition to the distinction of being part of the history of the Club from the outset, the Cayman Golf Club Founding Members of Arnold Palmer’s first golf course, club and lodge in the Caribbean will benefit from a use agreement with other managed Palmer hospitality clubs including Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida. Members’ immediate families will also have access to various amenities including the Lodge, Golf Academy, Tennis, Pool and Spa.

With its intriguing design and sustainable philosophy, the Cayman Golf Club at Ironwood will stretch over 7,100 manicured yards of picturesque landscape and include 20 acres of comprehensive practice facilities, with a spectacular clubhouse and resort lodging. Each hole will blend the strategically placed water hazards and challenging greens with the natural beauty of the Ironwood development. It will also offer 20 acres of comprehensive practice facilities including a full-length practice range, a professional teaching area, chipping and putting greens.
