Cayman: Government Shortens Testing Period for Arrivals, Widens Options
Grand Cayman, 11 December 2021 (GIS)– Government today Gazetted regulations reducing the COVID-19 testing window for arriving passengers and persons traveling to Cayman Brac, from 72 hours to no earlier than the day before departure.
The changes also expanded testing options to include certified rapid tests.
In addition Government has defined ‘departures’ to mean the departure of any connecting flights or transit flights to the Islands, where the layover between flights is less than twelve hours.
The measures are a response to the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, which has been deemed a variant of concern by the World Health Organisation.
