| .Coin Drive: March 27& 28th, 2020 – Over 200 volunteer’s needed for 2-hour shifts around the island. Stay tuned for more information or contact us to get involved. Orange You Glad Gala: May 9th, 2020 – Sponsorships available including prize sponsors for the silent and live auction. The gala is one of the largest fundraisers of the year thanks to the sponsors, prize donors and gala attendees. Dress Down Day: September 25th, 2020 – Sign up your office or school to participate in this island-wide dress down day in support of Meals on Wheels. Turkey Trot 5k & 10k Walk/Run: November 21st, 2020 – Be active, have fun and spread the awareness about Meals on Wheels in the community while helping to raise funds. Turkey Trot raised over $11, 000 which will go towards the work of Meals on Wheels who currently serves 245 meals daily to seniors, housebound or disabled individuals across all 5 districts in Grand Cayman for a total of 61,250 meals this year. Meals on Wheels continues to expand their reach however, there are still over 100 persons on a waiting list. The funds raised will support our efforts to ensure that “no senior in our community goes hungry. “Meals on Wheels gives sends a huge Thank You to this year’s Turkey Trot sponsors including Dolphin Point Club, Davenport Development, McAlpine, Got Eggs, Cayman Fine Print, Radio Cayman, Cayman National Bank, Progressive, Home Gas, Kirk Market, and last but not least thanks to the loyal support of over 25 volunteers who came out to make this event a success on the days leading up to the Turkey Trot and on the event day. Job Opening: Programme Coordinator Meals on Wheels is seeking a new team member to support the overall operations which include; client intake, assessment and record-keeping, volunteer and kitchen coordination and fundraising events and initiatives.
