Cayman: HSA conducts survey for Bodden Town Health Centre expansion

The Health Services Authority (HSA) is conducting a survey to obtain feedback from the community for the introduction of additional services ahead of the planned expansion of the Bodden Town Health Centre.

The survey will be open until 23rd July 2024 and can be accessed via www.surveymonkey.com/r/HSABTHCExpansion, the HSA’s website – www.hsa.ky, at the Bodden Town Health Centre and through community engagements at various locations.

“The Bodden Town Health Centre forms a crucial part of the locations in a fast-growing district. Therefore, this initiative is an ongoing commitment to ensure that the needs of the community are met effectively, and residents can have a voice,” expressed Dr. Samuel Williams-Rodriguez, HSA’s Director of Primary Healthcare Services.

In 2023, the Bodden Town Health Centre facilitated the treatment of 4,152 patients, representing a 23% increase since 2020.

Dr. Samuel Williams-Rodriguez is encouraging residents to be active in the process as “the feedback collected from the survey will be considered and will guide the planning and implementation of our expansion of services. It is important that the services we provide align with the needs of the community”.

A Town Hall session will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday 31st July 2024 at the Bodden Town Health Centre to discuss future expansion plans for the location.
