Cayman: International Property Awards recognise design excellence at newly opened Dart-owned properties
Dart Executive VP, Development, Gary Gibbs received the awards at a ceremony held at JW Marriott Los Angeles in September.
Hotel Indigo® Grand Cayman, Pom Pom and Bonny Moon Beach Club among latest award winners
Some of the latest additions to the Dart’s hospitality portfolio have been celebrated as representing the best interior design in the Cayman Islands. Hotel Indigo® Grand Cayman, its rooftop lounge Pom Pom and Bonny Moon Beach Club each won honours at the 2024-2025 International Property Awards.
Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, which opened its doors to guests in May, was the winner of best Hotel Interior in the Cayman Islands. Guests have consistently provided glowing feedback about the resort’s vibrant, inspired design and refined comfort that its 282 guestrooms, dining areas and communal spaces provide.
This is not the first time the property has received the nod of approval from the International Property Awards, having received the Cayman Islands Hotel Architecture Award and the Cayman Islands New Hotel Construction & Design Award for 2023-2024.
Pom Pom, which offers a one-of-a-kind experience as the islands’ highest rooftop lounge offering 180-degree tropical views including stunning sunsets over the Caribbean Sea, was the award winner for Hotel Bar Interior in the Cayman Islands.
Dart Executive Vice President, Development, Gary Gibbs attended the glitzy award ceremony in Los Angeles on 26 September. “It’s truly an honour to receive these awards. It would not have been possible without our design partners at Farouki Farouki, whose vision has come alive at the property with a collection of thoughtful touches and elements. This partnership has created a truly exquisite experience for visitors to Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman and Pom Pom,” said Gibbs.
Meantime, Bonny Moon Beach Club, which also opened in May along Seven Mile Beach, was the award winner for best Leisure Interior in the Cayman Islands. The aesthetic and ambience of Bonny Moon is playful and relaxed, a nod to 70s’ retro design with vintage accents.
“We are delighted that the vision that we were able to curate with Blur Workshop has come to life to provide a relaxed atmosphere that is emblematic of the best of Cayman – nostalgic but contemporary, local but international,” said Dart Senior Vice President, Active Investments, Enrique Tasende, who oversees the company’s hospitality portfolio.
The International Property Awards celebrates the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. An International Property Award is a world-renowned mark of excellence. Other Dart-owned properties are among recent winners, including 60 Nexus Way, the first 10-storey commercial building in the Cayman Islands, and Kapok, which features 89 for-lease apartments and ground-floor Class A retail space in the heart of Camana Bay.
