Grand Cayman, 2 May 2022- Island Heritage Insurance Company, Ltd. (“Island Heritage” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the charities selected to take part in their annual CharityDrive. Set for the 11th, 12th and 13th of May. The CharityDrive recipient charites are as follows:

Wednesday, 11th May: YMCA of the Cayman Islands
Thursday, 12th May: Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) Friday, 13th May: Cayman Islands Cancer Society

Caroline Mills-White, EVP Group Chief Underwriter, said: “All three charities are aligned with Island Heritage’s pillars of giving, which are Youth and Education, Heritage and our Future, and Wellness. We are delighted to support such worthy causes and encourage all drivers to come on by the Island Heritage roundabout on May 11th, 12th and 13th.”

Each charity will have the opportunity to earn up to CI $10,000. One of the charities will also be able to earn up to CI $5,000 based on social media support. Island Heritage will donate $1 for every car that drives past the Island Heritage Roundabout from 7am-7pm each day during the CharityDrive. It is not necessary for drivers to circle the roundabout, nor does it matter whether the vehicles are travelling north or south.

The public can show social media support by visiting Island Heritage’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, liking the featured charity and using the hashtag #charitydrive2022.

YMCA of the Cayman Islands was established in 2012 by a group of concerned citizens with the goal of building a stronger and healthier community through various outreach programmes focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Since that time, school-aged children in the Cayman Islands have benefited from their camps, after-school programmes, swim lessons, sports leagues and teen leadership programmes.

Founded in 1998, the CCMI is dedicated to conducting and facilitating research, education and outreach that will sustain marine diversity for future generations. The CCMI maintains a growing marine research and education facility in Little Cayman with a focus on discovering real solutions to declining ocean health.

Since 1995, the Cayman Islands Cancer Society has been providing financial assistance to local cancer patients and their families. The Cancer Society dedicates efforts to the prevention, screening, early detection and treatment of cancer and of any other related issues.
