The tenth annual Stingray Awards will bring the best and brightest in Cayman Island hospitality together on June 25th. Hosted by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, the awards ceremony honors the best in the industry.

According to the Cayman Islands Tourism Association website, “The Cayman Stingray Tourism Awards are the highest honour bestowed by the CITA in recognition of individuals who have offered the greatest contribution in the well-being of the Cayman Islands tourism industry throughout the year.” In addition to awards for Manager and Employee of the Year, this year’s ceremony will recognize members for a Cayman Islands Environmental Project for the Tourism Sector Environmental Stewardship Award. The award recognizes members’ commitment to preserving the natural environment of the Cayman Islands.

The awards ceremony recognizes employees across a wide variety of industries, from restaurants and accommodations to water sports, including Cayman Island sailing. There are also special recognition awards, including the Rising Star Award, the Long Service Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Each of these awards recognizes an exemplary person at different stages in their career.

For someone who shows promise in the field of tourism; the Long Service Award for the worthy recipient who has been in the industry for more than 15 years; and Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to the individual who has significantly shaped and developed our Cayman product and industry.
