Six men and one woman ages between 18 year and 53 years old were arrested by uniform officers in George Town on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. In one of the traffic related arrest, a 47 year old male was arrested for driving whilst disqualified and DUI.

In another arrest a 24 year old male, was arrested on suspicion of driving without being licensed. He was the eighth person arrested by police, targeting traffic offences last week end.

So far this year, 248 persons have been arrested for DUI.
