Cayman Islands Airport Authority staff participate in ICAO Air Cargo & Mail Security Course
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (3 November, 2015) – Three staff members from the Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) participated in a course on Air Cargo and Mail Security presented by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The five day ICAO/Canada Programme Cargo and Mail Security course for Belize, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Turks and Caicos Islands was held in Grand Cayman from 26-30th October and hosted by the Airports Authority.
The goal was to give the participants a better understating of Annex 17, Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) related to cargo, their link with security programmes, the importance of maintaining a secure supply chain and the role and responsibilities of entities in charge of secure air cargo and mail against acts of unlawful interference.
