Cayman Islands airport (ORIA) to get new parking system
Airports Authority Chief Executive Officer Albert Anderson told Radio Cayman, the equipment was ordered in June and is just now being installed. It should be up and running by March 2016.
The new system was purchased from a U.S. based company called Amano and Mr. Anderson said it was used in all kinds of parking from airports to shopping centres.
He said they had been unable to source replacement parts for the existing system which broke down frequently, and so a brand new system was purchased which will provide the needed functions – open the gate, resulting in motorists not having to call a parking attendant.
