While the profession of an Air Traffic Controller can be very rewarding, it can also be challenging. CIAA’s ATC’s use a traditional method to separate aircraft called procedural control, which means the controllers are heavily reliant on pilot reports of their position, and use this information to perform concise and complex calculations to ensure adequate separation is maintained between all aircraft on the ground and in the air.
