CALLING #KIDSCARE VOLUNTEERS

Have you ever wondered how much your time could be worth to someone else? Are you looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of Cayman’s children and animals? We’re looking for more volunteers for our #kidsCARE education program. The #kidsCARE team have lots of exciting ideas, but we need like-minded people who want to have some fun along the way, helping us empower and educate the children of Cayman to make a positive difference in their communities. Wish you could, but you work full time, I hear you say? Most employees on island are very encouraging of their staff to undertake charity work.

#kidsCARE is an interactive education program run by Cayman Islands registered charity, Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts (CARE). Led by dedicated volunteers, it aims to teach students empathy for all living beings and to care for their environment, qualities essential to raising kind, conscious compassionate citizens. The program nurtures the empathy inherent in every child and teaches them to appreciate, respect and help animals, both domestic and wild, and each other, as their guardians.

So, if you love animals and the environment, and have time or talent to donate, you can help with:
Saturday morning Book Mobile sessions at George Town Primary School – spending time with children reading humane education books and playing animal needs games. (1 Hour per month)
Visiting local schools to talk with students on responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter and child safety issues (45 minute sessions). All teaching materials provided. (1 Hour per week)
Assisting with creation of teaching material and exciting future programs.
Helping with Special Events throughout the year (if you are handy at kids face painting or baking cookies!)
Because the duties of the volunteers vary, we will help you find an opportunity that is convenient for you. Whether you can dedicate as little as two hours per month, or 5 hours per week, all efforts are extremely appreciated.
