Robbery in Rum Point on 2 August
On Sunday 2 August, in the vicinity of Rum Point, a 19-year-old male was with friends when he was attacked and assaulted by a number of persons. During the attack, jewelry was stolen. The victim received cuts, bruises and a dislocated shoulder.
The following day, Monday, 3 August, a 20-year-old male was arrested in connection with the incident. He was subsequently charged with Robbery, Actual Bodily Harm and Possession of Offensive Weapon. He appeared in the Summary Court on 5 August and was remanded into custody to reappear on 14 August.
Yesterday the 6 August, a second male, age 17, was arrested. He has now been charged with Robbery and will appear at court later today.
Two other males, ages 23 and 21, have also been arrested and have been bailed.
The victim and arrested persons are all residents of the Cayman Islands.

Update on Armed Robbery on Smith Road Wednesday Night
Police continue to investigate the armed robbery that occurred on 5 August at the Ultra Lounge on Smith Road. Two masked men entered the bar around 11:05PM. One of the men placed a gun at the head of one of the bartenders during the course of the robbery. The men left with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police responded to the scene of an armed robbery that occurred at a Liquor Licensed Premises on Smith Road, George Town at around 11:05pm last night.
Two males dressed in dark clothing and had their faces covered made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
Officers responded and a shortly after the incident a vehicle suspected to be involved in the incident was recovered.
