A man, age 26, of Bodden Town, has been arrested in connection with the assault that occurred on 24 December in Bodden Town (press release below).   He is presently in police custody.

2. Shortly before 10pm, police and ambulance responded to a Bodden Town address in relation to a male victim receiving serious injury to his hand. The reports are that the male victim was attacked by another male at a bar in the Bodden Town area and chopped with a machete on his hand after a dispute. The victim was transported to the George Town Hospital and released on Christmas Day after receiving treatment for his injury. The injury received by the victim is serious but non-life threatening. There has been no arrest but the police is still seeking the other party involved in this incident.
