Explicit Material Involving Minors
From Jacqueline Carpenter Public Relations Officer
As I have received several queries regarding a sexually explicit clip involving a minor today, which is being investigated and I cannot comment further upon it, I would just like to request that the public be reminded in any coverage that you may do that distributing (forwarding, sharing, sending in any way electronically or otherwise) any sexually explicit material involving a minor is a criminal offence.
EDITOR:
CNS are reporting the victim of the assault is a prominent member of the Bodden Town community. The motivation for the assault on him was allegedly committing an indecent act on a minor that was recorded on a cell phone and distributed through social media. The man who did the assault is said to be a relative of the minor.
We have not seen this clip nor do we know the identity of the participants but have been warned by the RCIPS concerning releasing Explicit Material Involving Minors – see above.
