Cayman Islands Being Me! Group for girls
Clinical Psychologist, Grace Ranke, will be running another 8 week ‘Being Me’ girls club starting in October for 9 – 12 year old girls who would like to find out more about smart ways to manage stress and ideas for navigating friendships and social pressures, whilst increasing their self-esteem and confidence.
In the past girls have really enjoyed this fun and supportive group. For more information see below or contact Grace at [email protected]
What will we cover?
This fun, interactive group will help girls to begin exploring who they are. A strong sense of self-identity and self-worth builds resilience and self-esteem, which can help when dealing with issues such as peer pressure, anxiety and mood disorders such as depression. Having a strong self esteem has also been linked to better academic performance and social engagement. In this group girls will learn effective ways of managing stress, peer-relationships, and will also have the opportunity to learn more about puberty and self care.
When do we start?
This group will be held on Thursdays from 4:30- 5:30pm, starting on the 2nd of October, for eight weeks.
There will be a maximum of four in the group to ensure adequate care and attention is given to each girl.
Parents are invited to meet with Grace individually for a free 30-minute consultation before the group begins to discuss their daughter’s needs. Parents will receive regular updates and information on their daughter’s progress throughout the course of the group.
What is the cost?
$70 per session. Participants are expected to attend all 6 sessions to benefit fully from the group.
For more information, or to simply discuss your child’s needs, please feel free to contact Grace directly.
