During Support Our Youth month businesses will be asked to participate in the Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium’s Employee Campaign whereas staff and customers will be given an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s asset building initiatives and upcoming summer camp. Donation boxes will be distributed during Monday January 5th to January 9th and collected on January 26th. The efforts of each company will be reported on at the main event ‘Celebrate Our Youth Day’ on Saturday January 31st.

An appreciation reception for all previous Asset Patrons (contributors) will be held at the governor’s residence for Wednesday, January 28th.
MAIN EVENT – Celebrate Our Youth Day Heads to West Bay

Date: Saturday January 31st, 2015

Time: 10am – 3pm

Venue: John A Cumber Primary School Playing Field

Our main objectives this year is to acknowledge community members that have contributed to the success of young people in the West Bay district and launch an asset mentor initiative, for which community members will be asked to pledge to become asset mentors.

Also using the day to encourage young people to get involved in the programmes represented at the event. Young people/ Parents will have an opportunity to pre-register for CIYDC’s Fearless Xtreme Leadership and Prevention camp.

So far organizations such as National Drug Council, Youth to Youth and Family Resource Center have confirmed.

Activities at the event – Sports demonstrations, youth performances, arts and craft, games and activities, fashion show, bouncing castle
