Cayman Islands – Continued suspension of postal operations owing to COVID-19 precautions
BY LA POSTE & SWISS POST From ASENDIA
The designated operator of the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Islands Postal Service, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to measures taken to reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it has been required to extend the suspension of all postal operations from 6 April to 20 April 2020.
During this period, the Cayman Islands Postal Service will cease all mail operations in accordance with a government directive to limit the movement of people. For this reason, it asks all designated operators to refrain from dispatching mail to the Cayman Islands during this period and until further notice. The resumption of operations on 20 April 2020 will be subject to review by the Government of the Cayman Islands nearer the time. The Cayman Islands Postal Service thanks all other Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
