Cayman Islands’ doctor arrested Tue, 7 June, on suspicion of misconduct at medical practice

Yesterday, 7 June, a doctor was arrested on suspicion of Causing Alarm, Harassment or Distress to a patient at a local medical practice. The man, age 47, is a licensed chiropractor in the Cayman Islands.
The arrest resulted after an investigation into a complaint from a woman who had obtained chiropractic services from the doctor, and suspected that the doctor had taken unauthorized photos of her during her treatment. The investigation into the complaint uncovered pictures of another woman or women who appear(s) to be patients. The subject(s) in the photo do not appear to be aware that a photograph is being taken.
The man is now on Police Bail. The Council of Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM), which regulates the chiropractic profession in the Cayman Islands, has been notified of the case.
