SUMMER ACTING SCHOOL AND WORKSHOPS

THE CAYMAN DRAMA SOCIETY is pleased to announce summer acting workshops for both teens and adults. Workshops are led by a professional television, film and theatre actor from London and designed to be fun and interesting introduction to character work.

Workshop Leader Bios:
Peter McNeil-O’Connor trained at East 15 Acting School and was the 2000 winner of the much coveted Laurence Olivier Bursary Award. He lives in London and works in film, television and stage. Peter coaches actors in improvisation techniques for film and television roles and to prepare for auditions. Peter has taught drama at summer acting schools as part of the Loughton College summer clubs. He attends the Actors centre in London to continue his studies in Meisner, Laban and Stanislavsky’s techniques. Peter has written and co-written performance and audition pieces as well as a site-specific play for local fund raising event.

Kirsty McNeil-O’Connor has a BA (Hons) in writing & publishing (Middlesex University) and an MA in scriptwriting (Glamorgan). Kirsty is a freelance journalist, copywriter and playwright who runs her own self-devised 10 week writing workshops in Essex and London. Co-founder of non-profit organisation, Happy Hour, running creative workshops for parents and their children in Waltham Forest libraries with Grow Your Own Theatre. Kirsty has written site-specific plays for community projects and has written and directed a short film, Buzzing which was shortlisted for the Walthamstow International Film Festival and shown at the BFI in London.

Teen Summer Acting School
For ages 14 to 18 this two week intensive acting school will culminate in a final show on July 18th, 2015. July 7th, 8th, 9th 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th from 9:00am until 3:30PM Cost CI$300 per week, discount for families.

Adult Acting Classes
Adult acting classes for beginners right through to experienced actors! Only 12 places where Stanislavsky, Meisner and Laban techniques will be introduced to inspire you to “become” the characters you play.
July 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th 7:00PM to 9:00PM with participation in performance on July 18th.
Space limited. CI$250 per person for course.
