Found Cocaine

On Thursday 18 June 2015, a package suspected to be cocaine was transferred to Grand Cayman from Cayman Brac. The suspect package was found on the beach, South Side Cayman Brac by HM Customs Officers just after 12:00pm Wednesday 17 June 2015. The weight of the package is approximately 72 pounds.

The package has been secured for destruction.

Drug Arrest

A uniform patrol in South Sound , George Town in the early hours of Tuesday 16 June 2015 pulled over a Nissan Sunny motor car along South Church Street on a traffic stop. Officers observed the male driver and a female passenger in the vehicle who appeared to be nervous. The officers became suspicious of the occupants behaviour and searched the vehicle, where they found 14 individually wrapped packages resembling cocaine. The driver who is known to police fled on foot on and is sought by officers from the George Town Police Station. The 20 year – old female passenger was taken into custody on drug related charges and later bailed.
