Clarification: Fatal Motor Collision in BT Yesterday Evening,

The 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched police and emergency services to a report of an accident on the premises of a private residence on Valencia Drive just after 5:30PM yesterday. A man had been pinned between his truck and a palm tree in his yard after the truck had shifted into gear while he was working on it. Neighbors released the man and followed instructions from 9-1-1 until police and emergency services arrived. The man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead around 18:45. No person was behind the wheel of the truck when the accident occurred.

We can now release the identity of the victim as Luis Rhoden, age 69, of Bodden Town.

Around 5:30pm this evening emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision off Valencia Ďrive BT where a vehicle left the road and collided into a tree.    Driver transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
