With respect to the MVA on 5 September, the driver of the BMW, who was arrested and bailed on suspicion of driving under the influence, has also been arrested today, 8 September, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The man, age 35, of Bodden Town, was bailed to return on 23 September.

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding this accident to contact George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS).

The accident involved a Toyota Mark II and a BMW, in addition to the motorbike of the deceased. The drivers of both cars were hospitalized after the accident, and the driver of the Toyota remains in the hospital but is in stable condition. The driver of the BMW, a man, age 35, of Bodden Town, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was released from the hospital yesterday and has been bailed by police to return on 8 September.

About 1 am on Saturday 5 September 2015 the police responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident along Linford Pierson Highway involving two cars and a motor bike. The 31 years old male bike rider was pronounced dead.

One male driver was arrested for DUI and the matter is being investigated by the police.

At about 3:56 am on Saturday 5 September 2015 police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in a Breakers restaurant. They searched the area and arrested a suspect on the sea shore with suspected stolen items. The matter is being investigated by the Bodden Town CID.
