Police can now confirm that the victim in yesterday’s vehicle collision was Geoffrey Cornwall, age 56, a resident on island who was originally from Australia.
The RCIPS extends its condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
Police can now confirmed that the victim in the below incident is a 56-year-old-man who was a resident on Island who was originally Australia.
This incident is under investigation by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit.

The roadway described below is still closed at this time until further notice. It is anticipated that it will be open around noon today.
Police are aware that there is a photograph being sent via WhatsApp of the victim. We are asking that persons refrain from circulating and posting this photograph on social media sites as the victim is identifiable in it. Sharing such photographs online or via phone applications is insensitive towards the grieving parties and we implore the public not to engage in this behaviour.

Just after 7:30AM this morning, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to the Esterly Tibbetts Highway, in the area between Yacht Drive and West Bay Road.
A vehicle and cyclist were traveling along the Esterly Tibbetts highway in the lane leading into West Bay when they both collided with each other. The cyclist succumbed to injuries sustained during the collision and died. The motorist did not report any injuries.
The Esterly Tibbetts Road Way heading into West Bay is closed between Yacht Drive and Batabano Drive and motorist are being diverted to West Bay Road.
