Government’s First Health Practice & Facility Inspector goes private, with a passion for driving quality in health care
Barrie Quappé, the first Health Practice and Facility Inspector who began the inspection of health care facilities in the Cayman Islands in September 2009 has opened her own business called ‘Cayman Healthcare Consulting Ltd.’ This is the first company in the Cayman Islands to offer consulting and support services for those who wish to open a new health care facility, clinical research facility, et al.
Additional services for existing facility applications and renewals (including practitioner licensing), and many other related services. As the country’s first Health Practice & Facility Inspector for the last seven years Mrs. Quappé gained a unique insight into health care standards as they apply to the Health Practice Law (2013 Revision) and enjoys guiding practitioners and health care facility owners through the compliance process. “I enjoy quietly driving improvement of healthcare which I can do more directly as a consultant and tie it in to their particular specialty and office culture.”
