Cayman Islands: Four arrested on suspicion of importation of ganja last Friday (13)

At around 5pm Friday (13), the Joint Marine Unit responded to the sighting of a suspicious vessel in the waters off East End by the Air Operations Unit while on patrol. The police vessel “Niven D” located the suspicious vessel with the assistance of the police helicopter near North Side, about a half mile offshore. The boat was searched, a quantity of ganja was uncovered, and two men, ages 48 and 52, of West Bay, and two men, ages 30 and 38, of Jamaica, were arrested on suspicion of Importation of Ganja. The man, age 52, of West Bay, was also arrested on suspicion of Human Smuggling.
The suspects were charged with Importation of Ganja yesterday and are due in court today. The man, age 52, of West Bay, was also charged with Human Smuggling.
Man arrested in George Town Monday (16) morning on suspicion of burglary
The Man, age 46, arrested on 13 November on suspicion of Burglary was charged yesterday with one count of Burglary, Theft, and Insulting the Modesty of a Woman. He was due in court (Monday 16) morning.
