Cayman Islands gets British Airways 777 Service
July 1, 2016: British Airways has boosted its service to Grand Cayman with the arrival of its Boeing 777 aircraft from London Heathrow Airport.
The first 777 flight arrived on the island today (July 1, 2016).
The service which will be shared with Nassau, Bahamas, features increased capacity especially in Club World (Business) and World Traveller Plus (premium economy).
Diane Corrie, British Airways’ Commercial Manager Caribbean, said that “the larger aircraft will offer expanded choice of travel for customers wishing to travel from the Cayman Islands to London.”
She noted among this group “the corporate community, including the business and finance sector, insurance companies and law firms, residents of Cayman who travel frequently to London and beyond on British Airways.” Visitor arrivals from the United Kingdom and Europe to the Cayman Islands should also get a boost with the introduction of the 777 aircraft, Mrs. Corrie said.
The sale fares inclusive of all taxes and fees start from as low as US$897 for travel in the World Traveller Cabin. A special inclusive fare of US$2,777 is also being offered for travel in Club World and US$1,777 in World Traveller Plus.
The special 777 fares are for outbound travel mid-week (Monday-Thursday) from Grand Cayman between September 8 – November 30, 2016.
British Airways flies four times weekly to Grand Cayman.
