Her Excellency Governor Helen Kilpatrick was discharged from George Town Hospital this afternoon (Thursday, 16 February 2017) following treatment for collapsed lungs and four broken ribs which she sustained in an accident at the weekend.

The Governor would like to praise the quick and expert response of the paramedics who attended at Government House. The Governor would also like to express her sincere gratitude for the caring and professional treatment that she received from all the staff at the Critical Care Unit at George Town Hospital.

The Governor will require further medical checks before she returns to work.

Mr Franz Manderson will continue as Acting Governor until she is able to resume her duties.
