The Cayman Islands are excited to announce that FUSE Marketing Group – a Toronto-based, privately held integrated marketing agency – will play host to our country during the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games (TO2015), dubbing their agency’s downtown Toronto quarters as Cayman House for the duration of the games. On July 10 2015, Toronto will host 41 nations for the Opening Ceremony. Our Cayman athletes are excited to participate in the grand arena. With offices located within walking distance of the CIBC Pan Am Park, Cayman House will be a retreat and place of rest and relaxation for the athletes, dignitaries, their friends, families, FUSE staff, clients, media and guests.

“We are thrilled to have our new friends at FUSE as our hosts at Cayman House, our home away from home for the entire run of the Games,” added Jennifer Powell, Chief Operating Officer of the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC) and Chef de Mission of the Cayman Islands TO2015 delegation. “This generous gesture adds a new level of excitement for us heading to Toronto, and our very supportive community back home.” In addition to a lounge which will be outfitted to promote the Cayman Islands and embrace the Cayman Islands team, Cayman sport will be on display and Cay-Fan T-shirts will be available for sale to benefit sport in the Cayman Islands.

“FUSE is excited and proud to welcome the Cayman Islands to our city and offices,” said Garo Keresteci, CEO of FUSE. “Cayman House is the foundation of FUSE Marketing Group’s activation of our sponsorship of the Games. The Pan Am Games are going to be transformative for Toronto, so we’re transforming as well. The entire agency is behind this momentous initiative and it’s our way of showing stakeholders a new way to do their part during such an historic event. We are an Official Supplier of Digital Marketing and Social Media for TO2015 and have been working with the TO2015 Games Committee for the past three years.”

“We’re going to announce numerous Cayman House-related activities and special events in the next few weeks,” commented Keresteci. “They will demonstrate how FUSE creates memorable and connected experiences for consumers across Canada.” There will be a Cayman House Party, generously hosted by FUSE, on July 18th and the CIOC welcomes all Caymanians who are living or visiting Toronto to stop by for some refreshments and live music. The event is invitation only, please contact the CIOC and request further details.

The CIOC will be announcing the Cayman Islands Team on June 19th, once the qualifying period for all sports has closed. We currently have athletes qualified to compete in Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Gymnastics and Swimming. The Team Welcome Ceremony will be held on July 9th, the Opening Ceremony on July 10th, and the Closing Ceremony on July 26th. Please follow and support our athletes by heading to https://www.facebook.com/CaymanIslandsOlympicCommittee and liking the CIOC’s Facebook page.

The CIOC wishes to thank the Department of Tourism, Tortuga Rum Cakes and Cayman Spirits for their contributions towards Cayman House; ensuring a fantastic atmosphere and a genuine Caymanian impression in Toronto. About the Pan Am Parapan Am Games

The Pan American Games (www.toronto2015.org) are the world’s third largest international multi-sport Games; they are only surpassed in size and scope by the Olympic Summer Games and the Asian Games. The first Pan American Games were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1951 and the inaugural Parapan American Games were held in Mexico City in 1999. Both the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games are held every four years for the athletes of the 41 PASO member nations, in the year preceding the Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games. While the Pan Am Games have been hosted in a dozen countries throughout the Americas, Canada has had the honour of hosting them twice; in 1967 and 1999 and both times in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2015, Toronto is the proud Host City of the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.
