Cayman Islands law firm Walkers admits three new Caymanian attorneys
Grand Cayman – (19 March, 2015) – In a momentous week for the Walkers ‘Articled Clerk Training Programme’, Walkers is delighted to announce the admission of three new Caymanian attorneys at law.
The admissions for Patrick McConvey, Arikka Ebanks and Nan Erb were moved by Walkers Partner Colette Wilkins on 17th, 18th and 19th March respectively, before The Hon. Mr. Justice Quin at the Grand Court in Cayman.

Patrick is a former Walkers scholarship recipient and was born and raised in the Cayman Islands. Upon completing his secondary education, Patrick attended Durham University in the United Kingdom for both a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Economics and Master of Arts in Culture and Difference. His MA thesis concentrated on the concept of Caymanian Identity in the context of both the wider Caribbean and the influence of other cultures in contemporary Caymanian society. Patrick then attended Nottingham Law School where he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2012 and the Legal Practice Course with a high Commendation in June 2013. Patrick has previously been a Legal Intern with Walkers in summer 2012 when he sat in the Finance and Corporate group, mentored by Justin Hart and Rob Jackson. He has additionally had experience as an intern in the Litigation group at another Cayman Islands law firm. Patrick was articled to Walkers’ Finance and Corporate Partner Philip Paschalides.
Arikka was born and raised in Grand Cayman. After graduating from John Gray High School in 2006 she attended the Global Young Leaders Conference in Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. She was also awarded a scholarship to attend the Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong, where she earned her International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Upon completion of that course she travelled for four months, visiting several countries, including Croatia and India, where she took part in voluntary work. She earned her LL.B from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in 2012 and returned to Cayman to complete the PPC at the Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS), University of Liverpool with Distinction. Arikka has previously interned in the Legal & Compliance Divisions at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and the Funds group at another Cayman Islands law firm. Arikka was articled to Walkers’ Funds Partner Caroline Heal.
Nan moved to the Cayman Islands in 1995 from Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in Vermont, she graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Before commencing her legal studies, Nan worked for Century 21 – Thompson Realty as a Marketing and Sales Agent, with LIME (formerly Cable & Wireless) as a Major Account Manager and Fine Homes Ltd. as an Operations Manager. Nan received a first class LL.B (Honours) degree in May 2012 and was Valedictorian of the TBLS, University of Liverpool. She then went on to complete the Professional Practice Course (PPC) with Distinction, also at TBLS in June 2013. In 2011, Nan represented the Cayman Islands at the William C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria and then acted as a student coach for each of the teams in 2012 and 2013. Nan was articled to Walkers’ Litigation Partner Colette Wilkins.
All three newly qualified attorneys have accepted permanent positions with Walkers. Patrick and Arikka will be joining our Insolvency and Dispute Resolution Group and Nan will join our Trust Group.
