About 12:05 AM on Saturday 23 April 2016 (Friday night / Saturday morning) an armed police unit was on patrol on West Bay Road in the vicinity of a night club parking lot when they arrested a male and female on suspicion of possession of a firearm. A loaded semi-automatic pistol was recovered. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The matter is under investigation and further information will be released at a later date.
