From RCIPS: Mon Aug 21 at 2:08 PM

Saturday, 19 August, just before 3:15PM, officers of the Criminal Investigations Department had cause to seek out and arrest a 30 year-old man of West Bay regarding an ongoing investigation into a firearm incident in February of this year. The man was seen at a Restaurant on West Bay Road and the police attended and made efforts to apprehend him.

The man became aggressive and began resisting when police approached him. He was subdued and a quantity of cocaine was later found to be in his possession.

The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of the following offenses:

• Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm
• Possession of Cocaine
• Possession of cocaine with intent to supply
• Consumption of cocaine
• Resisting arrest.

The man is currently in custody and the investigation is being progressed.
