UPDATE: Man Charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent
A man, age 22, from East End, has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent and Possession of an Offensive Weapon in connection with an incident involving a machete early Friday morning, 21 August. The man is due to appear in court today.

Man arrested on suspicion of Attempted Murder in George Town
Around 2:25AM this morning, Friday, 21 August, Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the beach behind Snooze Lane, George Town. It was discovered that a man, age 25, had received a wound to his face. The man was taken to George Town Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.
A machete was recovered by Police and a 22-year-old man is in custody, having been arrested for Attempted Murder.
Both the victim and the suspect are from East End. The incident is believed to be related to a domestic dispute.

Woman arrested on suspicion of possession of ganja at courthouse
At approximately 10:45AM on Wednesday, 19 August, vegetable matter resembling ganja was discovered by police during the security check of a woman entering the George Town Courthouse. The woman, age 53, of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of possession of ganja. She is now on Police Bail.

Naked woman swimming
Police responded to a call this afternoon regarding a woman who had taken off her clothes and was swimming near shore along North Church Street. The woman was taken to the hospital.
