Indecent Assault on Walkers Road Yesterday (Mon 8) Morning

The RCIPS has received another report of a female jogger being indecently assaulted in George Town. This latest incident occurred on Walkers road in the vicinity of Webster’s Drive at approximately 6.00AM yesterday, Monday, 8 February. This follows two previous incidents on 28 and 30 January.
The description of the suspect was given as a short, slim male approximately 5’ 4” and of a dark complexion, with a soft voice. He was wearing a black T shirt, gray knee-length shorts, black sneakers and a black tam hat. He ran off towards Antoinette Drive after the incident.
The RCIPS has increased its early morning patrols in the area and is undertaking other measures to protect the public. The public is asked to be vigilant and immediately report anyone seen in the area acting suspiciously at 949-4222 (GTPS).

The man arrested on suspicion of rape on 4 February will be in court today, 8 February, on charges of Rape, Assault, and Intentional Harassment, Alarm or Distress.

On 23 January 2016 the RCIPS received a report of a rape which occurred in a remote area off Sparky Drive in George Town.
On that date the female victim was taken to the location after accepting ride in a vehicle, and raped. She was left stranded at the location and eventually stopped a passerby for assistance.
Officers from the George Town CID have been investigating the matter since the report, making every effort to identify, locate and arrest the offender.
Yesterday, 4 February, a man, age 35, of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of rape and is currently in police custody.
